It’s the start of a new month, and like clockwork, the first wave of new titles for Xbox Game Pass in September have been revealed. This is a small wave in comparison to previous months, but with good reason as Team Cherry’s long-in-development Hollow Knight: Silksong looks like it’ll overshadow every release in or around it here.
That’s not to say that the other games should be ignored! Nine Sols is a delightful 2D action-platformer with Sekiro-inspired action and elegantly illustrated art, I Am Your Beast is a slick FPS with a short–but satisfying–time commitment, and Cataclismo merges real-time strategy resource management with siege defense and exploration. These games also arrive hot on the heels of August’s Game Pass additions[1], as last month saw Gears of War: Reloaded, Herdling, and Persona 4: Golden join the game library.
Game Pass Ultimate members looking to jump into Skate when it arrives on September 16[2] can also claim a bundle of goodies, as you’ll get Danny’s Hawaiian Dream, the San Van Party Pack, and the Time is Money Pack DLC as a bonus with your subscription.
Several games will also be removed from Game Pass on September 15, so you only have a few days left to play these three titles. If you’d like some more recommendations, you can also check out our list of the best Xbox Game Pass games[3] to play in 2025.
