Fayetteville-chartered Arvest Bank recently moved its downtown Bentonville branch amid ongoing construction projects in the area, according to a news release. The bank relocated from the north side of the Bentonville square to 215 N.W. A St.
Bentonville-based Blue Crane and Austin, Texas-based development partner Riverside previously released plans for mixed-use project North Main that will include new residential units, commercial spaces, and underground parking.
Blue Crane is Runway Group’s real estate acquisition and development arm. Runway Group is a diversified holding company also based in Bentonville and led by Steuart Walton and his brother, Tom Walton. They are grandsons of Walmart founders Helen and Sam Walton and the sons of Jim Walton, chairman and CEO of Arvest Bank Group Inc.
The renovation of Arvest Bank on the square is a key component of the project. Construction is slated to start in 2026.
After its recent relocation, the bank opened to the public 113 daytime parking spaces on the lower deck of the parking garage at 207 N.E. B St., adjacent to 21c Museum Hotel.
The aim is to alleviate downtown parking challenges for visitors during the projects, according to the release.
“With construction impacting parking availability around the Bentonville square, we recognized the need to support our local businesses and the community during this time,” said Chad Evans, president of Arvest Bank – Benton County. “We hope these parking spaces will make it easier for residents and visitors to access their favorite shops, restaurants and community events.”
According to an Arvest spokeswoman, the spaces will be available “for the foreseeable future as construction projects continue on and around the square. That timeline is ultimately dictated by the pace of the projects and the need for parking.”
