Ibom Angels Football Club have officially resumed preparations for the 2025/26 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership season. The Uyo-based side began their build-up today, September 1, 2025, at the Uyo Township Stadium.

Club Chairman, Prince Ukeme Ukpong, addressed the management and players, urging them to work as one team and remain committed to the club’s values. He warned against gossip and disunity, stressing that only collective efforts would bring success.

“We must shun attitudes of gossiping and disunity, work together as a team, and win trophies for the club,” Prince Ukeme said. “A lot is expected from us by the people of Akwa Ibom State to take the club to greater heights.”

The management team, including Secretary Elder John Udoh, Team Manager Coach Mary Udobia, and Head Coach Edwin Okon, pledged their full support to the chairman and promised to work hard for the success of the team.

Before the first training session, Team Manager Udobia encouraged the players to aim for trophies this season. She reminded them that respect, unity, and dedication would not only lift the club but also improve their careers.

Other officials present were Media Officer Edidiong Stephen, Coordinator Ndah Ndah, Chief Coach Ubong Sunday, Assistant Coach Nyakno Uko, Goalkeeper Trainer David Ime, Curator Itoro Michael, and team masseur Idara Ndaeyo.

With preparations now underway, Ibom Angels have set their sights on a strong campaign in the new NWFL Premiership season.
