Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Christantus Uche, a talented Nigerian attacker, from Spanish club Getafe.
The 22-year-old joins on a one-year loan deal and will wear the No. 12 shirt for the Eagles this season.
Rising Star from Nigeria
Uche has already played for Nigeria’s senior national team and made a big impression in his first season at Getafe, where he played 38 games, scored 4 goals, and provided 7 assists.
His football journey began in 2022 with Moralo CP, a fifth-division team in Spain. He quickly moved up to AD Ceuta FC in the third tier before signing for Getafe ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Fifth Signing of the Summer
Uche is Palace’s fifth summer signing, joining Walter Benítez, Borna Sosa, Yeremy Pino, and Jaydee Canvot at Selhurst Park.
Club chairman Steve Parish said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Christantus to the club. He’s an exciting young talent and a full international.
He’s already shown great promise in Spain, and we’re all looking forward to seeing him do well in South London.”
A Dream Move for Uche
The young forward couldn’t hide his joy after completing the move:
“This moment is unbelievable. I’m very lucky to be here today.
This club is a big opportunity for me.”
Everyone at Crystal Palace has welcomed Christantus Uche and wished him the best as he begins his journey in red and blue.
