A tourist has died after he fell unconscious on the Frozen ride at Disneyland.

The man, 53, was with his wife who suddenly noticed he had falled into a coma. She alerted staff and first aid responders boarded the ride and perfomed CPR.

The tourist was rushed to hospital after being taken from the theme park in Hong Kong, but was pronounced dead shortly after.

“The resort deeply regrets the passing of the guest and will do its utmost to provide necessary assistance to his family,” a resort spokesperson said. “The initial investigation has shown the incident is not related to ride safety.”

Police first received a report of the incident at 10:18am local time. The man’s wife told them her husband had pre-existing health conditions including a history of heart disease and high blood pressure[1].

The death was confirmed by the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong.
