A furious Nicolas Jackson[1] reportedly doesn’t want to return to Chelsea[2] despite his loan move to Bayern Munich[3] being cancelled.
Jackson had been set to join the German club on loan and was given permission to fly out to Germany but Chelsea intervened to cancel the move after fellow striker Liam Delap suffered an injury during the win against Fulham[4] on Saturday.
According to The Telegraph[5], Jackson is determined to ensure that a loan move to Bayern still materialises.
Chelsea told Bayern that the loan was cancelled and that Jackson could no longer undergo a medical.
Bayern had been set to pay a world record £13million (€15million) loan fee as part of a move for Jackson with the deal having also included an option to buy for £56million (€65million) plus a sell-on clause.
However, Chelsea now expect Jackson to fly back to England from Munich.

Reports in Jackson’s home country of Senegal suggest that the 24-year-old has not accepted Chelsea’s decision to cancel the loan.
Bayern director of sport Max Eberl said that he will tell Jackson and his agent to return to London.
Eberl said: ‘I’m not in a position to act. We will tell the player and his agent that they have to go back to London, he’s Chelsea’s player.
‘For the final 48 hours, we’ll try to find a solution’.
Commenting on Delap’s injury, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said: ‘Liam’s injury doesn’t look good. In terms of another striker, to be honest, we just finished the game from the changing room and came here for the press conference, so now after, when we finish, we’re going to sit and we’ll see if we take any decision. That’s all.’
Jackson was pushed further down the pecking order at Chelsea this summer after the arrivals of Delap and Joao Pedro.
Since joining Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, Jackson has made 81 appearances for the club and has scored 30 goals, while he has provided 12 assists.
Chelsea had spent the last month searching for a new home for Jackson following their activity in the transfer market.

Delap’s injury, described as ‘not good’ by Maresca, would have left Chelsea short in the striker position. They can also use Tyrique George, Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer and Estevao Willian up top, but none are true No 9s.
Rather than being sent to train with the ‘bomb squad’ at Cobham, Jackson had been training with Maresca’s first team over the last month in case he stayed.
Jackson previously told Chelsea that he wanted to explore his options, as revealed by Daily Mail Sport. That saw him left out of their pre-season friendlies and also their opening fixtures in the Premier League[6].
Bayern had been eager to bring in Jackson to provide an extra option to Harry Kane.
Jackson’s contract at Chelsea runs until 2033.
