WelcomeHealth, a Fayetteville clinic providing free dental, medical and pharmaceutical care, appointed Cambre Horne-Brooks as its executive director, succeeding Dr. Monika Fischer-Massie who retired after leading the nonprofit for 23 years.
Horne-Brooks most recently spent 12 years as executive director of the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation. She previously contributed to development efforts at Community Clinic in Springdale for 12 years.
She earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree of public service from the Clinton School of Public Service in 2024.
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue the incredible legacy of those who came before me,” Horne-Brooks said. “I know I am standing on the shoulders of giants, and while the responsibility is great, I am energized by the opportunity. Together, we’ll continue to ensure that everyone in our community, regardless of household income or insurance status, has access to the quality health and dental care they deserve. This mission is personal, and I’m proud to stand alongside so many who believe in the dignity and well-being of every neighbor.”
In 2024, WelcomeHealth provided 16,386 services to 5,425 patients.
