Bill Hammond, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was born January 17, 1951 in Watertown, New York to Clyde and Dorothy (Hanson) Hammond. He was a self employed truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Hammond; three sons, B.J. Hammond, Dale Montgomery and Nikki Fears; four daughters, Melissa, Valerie Hammond, Ashley, and Stacey Strozier; one sister, Deborah Garrett-Jennison; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Hammond and a sister, Mary Lou Hammond.
A family directed memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, September 5 at Central Baptist Church in Fort Smith. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
