Super Eagles and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman may still leave the Italian club before the transfer window shuts on 1st September.

The 27-year-old has said he no longer wants to play for Atalanta, but the club is refusing to let him go — especially to another Italian team.

Inter Milan have made three offers for Lookman, who was named 2024 CAF Player of the Year, but Atalanta continue to say no. They don’t want to sell him to another Serie A club.

Atalanta have now separated Lookman from the main squad, and he’s training alone. Still, there is hope that he could move before the window closes.

According to Caught Offside, Premier League teams are watching the situation. Arsenal, who recently signed Eberechi Eze, are keeping an eye on Lookman. Chelsea are also interested and may go for him if they can’t sign either Alejandro Garnacho or Xavi Simons.

Tottenham Hotspur, managed by Thomas Frank, are said to be keen as they lack players on the left wing. Aston Villa might look at a loan deal, as they are currently having financial issues.

Roma are also interested, but a move there is unlikely since Atalanta don’t want to sell to another Italian side. There have also been talks with Atletico Madrid and Napoli, but neither club has met Atalanta’s asking price.

Lookman, who previously played for Fulham and RB Leipzig, has many options. But he must make a decision soon, or he could end up staying in Bergamo for another season.
