Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance with an emphasis in bank management, Arkansas State University

What are some unique aspects of your job or business? My job is incredibly unique because while banking is certainly a business, it is also deeply personal. Over time, business relationships naturally expand to include sharing in both happy milestones and the challenging moments of clients’ lives.

What was your dream job and why? My dream job has always been one where I can go to work and get to love and serve people. That is simply what motivates me, and I am so very thankful that in my current role I get to do exactly that. Helping people, building relationships and making a difference is what keeps me going.

What is the next big personal or career challenge you plan to take on? My biggest personal/career challenge has been balancing my role as a mom while being very driven and career focused within the banking industry. My biggest personal challenge is to truly soak up the remainder of this season of life with my children while also preparing for the next chapter.

How do you spend your time away from work? What are your hobbies? Outside of work, I absolutely love spending time with my family and being involved in my church. A big part of my heart is invested in student ministry, where I get to encourage and pour into the next generation.

What advice would you give young women who are at the beginning of their careers? Be yourself even if it is a more polished version of you. Surround yourself with the right people, do the right thing and know that you can achieve your goals. Do not let different roles or personalities intimidate you; instead, embrace the differences in others and recognize that it takes all of us, working together, to succeed.

What character traits do you feel have benefited you in your success? The character traits that have contributed most to my career success are caring about people and following through on commitments — even when challenges arise, and there have been several. I stay present and work toward solutions.

If you have a bucket list, what are the top three things on it? The top three things on my bucket list would be to travel more with my family — and as our family continues to grow, to take everyone along on those adventures. Second, I would love to purchase a lot outside the city and build a modern farmhouse with a wraparound porch, complete with a swing and rocking chairs where we can relax and enjoy our blessings. Lastly, I have a strong desire to continue going on mission trips to different countries.

Do you have a significant other and/or children? If so, what do you guys like to do for fun? Yes, I am blessed to share life with my husband, Bart and our three wonderful children, Reece, Anna and Emelia. Over the years, we have built a life around commitment, love and support. We enjoyed everything from dance, volleyball, tennis, cheerleading, basketball, cross country and track.

What’s your favorite app at the moment? My favorite app at the moment is Audible. I love how it lets me enjoy books on the go.

Do you have a favorite podcast? My favorite podcast for women right now is “The Proverbs 31 Ministries” podcast, and love Lysa Terkeurst. Also, the Max Lucado podcast adds peace to anyone’s day.
