Kurtis Dewain Douglas, 59, of Daytona Beach, FL formerly of Van Buren passed away on Sunday August 17, 2025 in Daytona Beach, FL. He was born December 12, 1965 in Lawton, Ok to Bobby and Shirley (King) Douglas. Kurtis was a senior field engineer in the oil and gas industry.
He is survived by two sons, Brad Douglas of Daytona Beach, FL and Brayden Douglas of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Deborah “DeeDee” Moorman and her husband Jason of Fort Smith and Lucinda Douglas of Edgewater, FL; one nephew, Michael Bell, of Van Buren; one niece, Miranda (Moorman) Adamson and her husband Ethan of Fort Smith; two great nieces, Addison and Aubrey Adamson.
Kurtis was known for his love of cars, motorcycle racing and kids. He was happy to retire in Daytona where he could go to Daytona Motor Speedway and the beach. He is fondly remembered for his always present smile and generous compliments to everyone. He loved life and lived hard.
