A model who says she has spent over £500,000 transforming her face and body was left feeling “nervous” when officials refused to believe her driving licence photo of her aged 18 was really her.

Janaina Prazeres, 35, once crowned Playboy’s “Perfect Woman”, has undergone over 20 cosmetic procedures over the years – and her transformation left licence officials scratching their heads. The model and influencer candidly shared her struggle to renew her licence.

“They took me to a separate room and said there was an inconsistency between the photo on my old document and how I look now,” she said. “They asked several times if I was really the same person, requested other documents, and I had to explain that I had undergone many plastic surgeries. I was surprised and a little embarrassed, but I tried to stay calm.”

Janaina had her first breast augmentation at 19 before undergoing a string of other procedures. “I have had two rhinoplasties, three breast implant replacements, HD liposuction, traditional liposuctions, facial bioplasty and a gluteal bioplasty,” she revealed.

“As well as facial harmonisation, bee venom application, lip fillers, botox, peelings, as well as intimate treatments like collagen application. And that does not include the aesthetic maintenance procedures I do regularly.”

After the initial confusion, officials asked her to redo all her biometrics, including new fingerprints and a photo. Janaina said: “I was so nervous because it seemed like they were doubting my identity.

“It was a mix of worry and even a bit of fear that they wouldn’t allow me to renew my license. At the same time, I understood that for them it was strange to compare a photo of me at 18 with the woman I am today.

“I had to take a new photo on the spot, and only then did they accept to renew my license. Now I will have an updated document that shows who I really am today.”

The model has faced online trolls suggesting she has body dysmorphic disorder, but she denies this, saying her transformation – while “intense and even a little radical” – is about “taking care of myself”.

“It bothers me when people say that because it feels like they are undermining my choices.” Janaina explained, “I have never done anything out of illness, but because I like to feel more and more beautiful. For me it is natural to pursue the best version of my body.”

“At certain times I needed psychological help to deal with my own image, like when I spent 48 hours without looking in the mirror on medical advice,” she admitted, adding, “But today I feel happy, fulfilled, and I don’t regret it. Every procedure is part of the woman I have become.”

It comes after a woman revealed she could no longer walk, talk or feed herself after a Brazilian butt lift went wrong.

Daidys Pena Garces’ procedure was allegedly carried out by an unqualified surgeon. In the weeks that followed, she suffered a pulmonary embolism that caused severe brain damage, leaving the 50-year-old unable to walk or talk, her husband Jorge Fernandez said.
