Rose Choate, age 77, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed from this life Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born August 24, 1947 in Joplin, MO to Earl William Stokes and Opal Rose (Robertson) Stokes. Rose was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Choate; and two grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Evangelist Lisa Carter Price of Fort Smith; and her son, Brian Carter of Fort Smith; her brother, Edward Stokes of Fort Smith; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5 – 7 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
