French Streamer Jean Pormanove Livestream Death Video refers to the August 2025 death of French Kick streamer Jean Pormanove, also known as JP or by his real name Raphaël Graven, who passed away in his sleep during a 10-day streaming marathon (called a “subathon”) with friends. On the night of August 18th, 2025, French streamer Jean Pormanove passed away at his residence in Contes, a village north of Nice, France, during a livestream on the platform Kick. Jean Pormanove and his friends, including fellow streamer Owen Cenazandotti, also known as Naruto, were participating in a streamer marathon (known as a subathon). Jean Pormanove passed away in his sleep on day 10 of the stream.
JP was notably the seventh most-watched Kick streamer and the most-watched French Kick streamer at the time of his death.
The moment of Jean Pormanove’s death was caught on video during the livestream and was clipped on Kick before JP’s account was removed from the platform. In the video, which was reposted on X, JP can be seen twitching in his sleep before becoming still. Shortly after, one of the other men wakes up and checks on JP. The man ends the stream shortly after (censored screenshot shown below).

On August 20th, 2025, the X account of @Kick_FR shared a tweet that said, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jean Pormanove and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and community. All co-streamers who participated in this live broadcast have been banned pending the ongoing investigation.” Kick France continued, saying, “Our priority is to protect creators and ensure a safer environment on Kick.” The tweet received over 2.1 million views and 8,300 likes in a few hours (shown below).

On August 18th, 2025, X user @2bp1def shared a screenshot from the livestream before Jean Pormanove’s death in which they claimed that JP left with “a guy,” came back “scratching his nose several times,” had “a very bad night’s sleep,” and then he passed away. “Question, what did that guy give him?” the tweet said. Over two days, the post received roughly 1,300 likes (shown below).

After the death of Jean Pormanove, internet users shared clips from the 10-day stream and other streams, highlighting moments in which JP was seemingly being abused by his co-streamers and friends.
For instance, on August 19th, 2025, X user @henrico292 shared a compilation of JP stream clips, showing JP being choked, punched and kicked by the other men. @henrico292 wrote, “For four long years, Raphaël Graven, known as JeanBarette or Jean Pormanove, was the target of inhuman harassment… Yesterday, Raphaël died in his sleep.” The post received over 2,800 likes in a day (shown below).

A similar tweet, showing a compilation of JP abuse clips, was shared by X user @SwartZ__ on August 19th, receiving over 6,500 likes in a day.
On August 19th, 2025, X user @LouisPisano started a thread about JP’s death, writing, “A shocking story out of France that’s an actual Black Mirror episode come to life,” to start the first tweet, which received over 1 million views and 3,700 likes in a day (shown below).

That same day, French news outlet Le Parisien posted a TikTok video about the death of Jean Pormanove, gaining over 132,800 likes in a day (shown below).
