Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, an updated model in its wireless earbud lineup, following the release of the original Galaxy Buds FE in 2023. The new earbuds offer updated design elements, support for Galaxy AI features, and extended battery life while retaining a midrange price tag.

The Galaxy Buds 3 FE adopt a blade-style stem design, consistent with the aesthetic of the Buds 3 Pro. They feature in-ear silicone tips and come in black and gray color options. The earbuds carry an IP54 rating, offering protection against dust and limited water exposure.

Each earbud features a dynamic driver and three microphones, enabling active noise cancellation (ANC) and enhancing voice detection. The earbuds support 24-bit Hi-Fi audio and spatial (360) sound when paired with supported Samsung devices.

Connectivity is provided via Bluetooth 5.4, with compatibility for AAC, SBC, and Samsung’s Seamless Codec (SSC). Additional features include dual-device pairing, Auto Switch between Samsung devices, and Ambient Sound Mode for listening to background audio when needed.

The Galaxy Buds 3 FE integrate with Galaxy AI, allowing real-time translation through the Galaxy AI Interpreter feature. The earbuds also support Google Gemini for voice control. Users can interact with the earbuds using pinch and swipe gestures, and track their location using the Find My Earbuds feature.

The earbuds are powered by a 53 mAh battery each, while the case holds a 515 mAh battery. Estimated playback times are:

  • Up to 6 hours with ANC enabled
  • Up to 8.5 hours with ANC disabled
  • Up to 24 hours total playback with the case (ANC on)
  • Up to 30 hours total playback with the case (ANC off)

Charging is handled exclusively through a USB-C port, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Galaxy Buds 3 FE will be available starting September 4 in select markets. Pricing is set at $149.99 in the United States.
