If last week’s tease wasn’t enough of a confirmation, it’s now official: Helldivers 2 is getting Halo: ODST content on August 26.
Halo: ODST featured orbital dropship troopers deploying onto the battlefield, making them a perfect addition to Helldivers 2′s chaotic action. The new Legendary Warbond will be added to Helldivers 2 when it launches on August 26, the very same day that Gears of War: Reloaded is going to take cover on PS5.
However, you’ll be paying a little more than usual for this one because it’s “a step up from previous Warbond tiers, and packed with gear worthy of the legend”.
That price will be 1,500 Super Credits, which works out at roughly $15. Typically, Warbonds cost 1,000 Super Credits, or about $10. Would the Master Chief approve of this extra cost?
It’s also worth noting that the new Premium Warbond Tokens launching on August 26 cannot be used for the new Warbond.
In other words, Helldivers 2 is introducing a whole new tier of Warbonds. This will presumably just be the first of many.

Along with the usual assortment of capes, banners, passive abilities, patterns, player titles etc.
Personally, I can’t help but feel this could have been so much more epic. How about introducing the Flood to Helldivers 2? The classic Halo foe would be perfect.
