Donald Trump’s ‘true feelings about Melania’ have been exposed by a body language expert following a tense showdown with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
Donald Trump seemingly revealed his sentiments towards Melania in a tense encounter with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The US President’s meeting with Zelensky came shortly after entertaining Russia’s Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
Following the discussions, Trump hinted at preferring to bypass ceasefire talks and go “directly to a peace agreement”, marking a shift from his earlier stance.
In the Oval Office, Zelensky handed Trump a letter intended for First Lady Melania, written by Ukraine’s own first lady, Olena Zelenska. “It’s not to you, it’s to your wife,” Zelensky quipped.
This gesture followed an occasion where Melania herself had given Putin a letter. Although the contents of her message remain undisclosed, it reportedly touched on the sensitive issue of Ukrainian children being abducted amid the conflict.
When pressed by journalists about the letter, Trump acknowledged that Melania feels “very strongly” about the situation in Ukraine. He mentioned their son Barron, aged 19, as he commented on his wife’s aversion to witnessing such events unfold, reports the Irish Star.
Body language specialist Nia Williams observed Trump “gazing” at the letter while speaking to the press. In a conversation with the Irish Star, she noted: “Donald Trump talks with eyes gazing down when talking of Melania’s letter.
“This shows internal reflection and careful thoughtfulness towards this topic. His poise and whole manner shoulders back head up and strong eye contact show confidence, authority and power with no deference.”
Nia, from Miss Date Doctor, observed that Trump displays a more “sensitive” side when discussing the letter from his wife, noting: “Trumps eyes show direct and steady eye contact which indicate seriousness and sincerity.
“Also when you get pupil constriction it indicates you are processing this information his overall body language showed more sensitivity towards the area of Melania’s letter.”
The expert also commented on Trump’s “overall confidence” during his meeting with Zelensky and their interactions with the US media. However, she pointed out that the Ukrainian President seemed to exhibit “nervousness” in the encounter.
She elaborated: “Zelensky nods head as Trump talks. He shows furrowed brows which can be a sign of nervousness.”
Despite Trump suggesting that a ceasefire “could be a disadvantage for one side” he expressed to journalists his eagerness to halt the conflict, stating: “We’re gonna work with Ukraine, we’re gonna work with everybody” to ensure peace is “very long term”.
The US president further mentioned that he had “indirectly” communicated with Putin prior to the meeting and added that the Russian leader was anticipating a call “right after”. Trump is slated to convene with European leaders later today (August 18).
Zelensky, who has been vocal about his need for US assistance in areas ranging from equipment to intelligence, is expected to address the media next. Reports suggest that air raid sirens were heard across Ukraine during the leaders’ meeting.
Initially, it was reported that the sirens were sounding in extensive regions across the eastern part of the country. However, recent reports indicate that they have been confined to specific regions.
These sirens are activated when officials perceive a threat of ballistic missiles from Russia. The tension between the two nations escalated in 2022 following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
