Football fans in Akwa Ibom are set for thrilling action as the AfriSportPro Youth League kicks off on Monday, 18 August 2025, at the Uyo Township Stadium.

Twelve youth teams from across the state will compete in the Akwa Ibom Conference of the league, which will run until November 2025. The competition is part of a nationwide programme being staged in six different venues across Nigeria, designed to showcase some of the country’s finest young football talents.

The participating teams are: Artisan FA, Willnam-Pro FC, Vifa Academy, Blackpool FA, Blessed Stars, Pillar Sports FA, Nichin FA, Blessed Talent FC, De Ark Academy, Immortality FC, Full Life Academy, and Krane FC.

Opening-day fixtures will see Artisan FA take on Willnam-Pro FC at 12:00pm, followed by Vifa Academy against Blackpool FA at 1:50pm, before Blessed Stars clash with Pillar Sports FA at 3:30pm. Action continues on Tuesday with Nichin FA facing Blessed Talent FC, De Ark Academy meeting Immortality FC, and Full Life Academy battling Krane FC.

According to the organisers, AfriSportPro was created to connect rising African footballers with professional scouts, talent managers, and international clubs. The league provides young players with exposure and offers football stakeholders access to verified, top-tier African talents.

The mission of AfriSportPro is to build a structured, world-class youth football league across Africa and help the next generation of African footballers fulfil their potential on the global stage.

With scouts expected to follow the competition closely, the Akwa Ibom Conference promises exciting football battles and the discovery of new stars.
