Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent has accused Paris Saint-Germain of showing ‘zero respect’ to the Italian as relations between the goalkeeper and the French giants deteriorate.
The 26-year-old has been omitted from PSG’s UEFA Super Cup clash against Tottenham on Wednesday night and looks set to depart, with a raft of Premier League clubs interested in signing the giant Italian.
Donnarumma has experienced a remarkable turnaround in fortunes with the side, having played a crucial part on their Champions League triumph in May. But reports in France had claimed he has been sidelined from training after being told by club chiefs that Lucas Chevalier, a £48million arrival from Lille, would be their new No 1.
The Italian is represented by Enzo Raiola, the cousin of the late influential agent Mino.
Mino Raiola, who died at the age of 54 back in 2022, had served as the agent to some of the game’s most high-profile players including Erling Haaland, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Raiola had clashed with the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola in his career.
Donnarumma had been among Raiola’s main clients at the time of his death and has continued to be represented by the family under the Team Raiola banner, rather than by his former business partner Rafaela Pimenta.

Enzo Raiola has shown some of his cousin’s former traits but giving an explosive reaction over PSG’s treatment of the goalkeeper.
Following a statement from the stopper that expressed his ‘disappointment’ at being frozen out, Raiola took a far more combative tone, telling Sky Sports that PSG are demanding a large transfer fee despite there being only one year remaining on his contract.
‘We are shocked by PSG,’ Raiola said. ‘There’s zero respect by the club after four years together. We will consider the situation also with our legal team. We will consider solutions now, maybe in Premier League there will be clubs able to pay what’s needed.
‘Paris Saint-Germain are asking for big money. They talk about respect, but it’s only about the money.’
This week, PSG boss Luis Enrique took full responsibility for the decision to omit the Euro 2020 winner from the squad that will take on Spurs in Udine.
‘Donnarumma is out of the squad as it’s my own decision, I am 100 per cent responsible,’ said the Spaniard. ‘I want a different kind of goalkeeper and I made this decision. Gigio is one of the best keepers in the whole world.’
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are keen to purchase the Italian after he helped to guide PSG to their first-ever Champions League trophy last season.
His impending departure has attracted the attention of several European giants, including Manchester City and Manchester United, although the Red Devils are not thought to be in the race for his signature.

Pep Guardiola’s side are considering a move for the Italian with Galatasaray interested in Ederson.
City have already signed goalkeeper James Trafford for £31m this summer and the returning star is primed to be the club’s new No 1.
PSG are likely to want around £40m for Donnarumma, who has also attracted interest from Real Madrid and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Donnarumma has made 161 appearances for PSG since joining the club from AC Milan back in 2021 on a free transfer.
He has won four Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, three French Super Cups and the Champions League while at the club.
Donnarumma has also enjoyed success with Italy having helped his nation be crowned European champions back in 2021.
