Andrew Hall has always liked numbers and math. He initially went to school to be an engineer, but quickly found that this wasn’t the path for him when he took a calculus-based physics class.

Finance allowed him to continue using numbers, said Hall, also citing an interest in the stock market.

“Being able to combine both of those in my current role was very appealing,” he said. “I’m not a every month is the same thing, rinse and repeat type of person at work. That’s probably the reason I like finance so much. Two days are usually never the same.”

He joined J.B. Hunt in 2023 as senior director of finance. He’s helped to lead the company in the areas of investor relations, corporate financial planning and analysis, and corporate development.

He began his career as an accountant before joining Little Rock-based Stephens Inc. He spent seven years at Stephens, where he was promoted from associate to analyst and was responsible for research coverage on the company’s transportation team.

In 2019, he joined Walmart as a senior manager of investor relations, before being promoted to a director of finance and strategy in the pickup and delivery from store area of the business.

Earlier this year, Hall was named to the National Investor Relations Institute 2025 Class of Rising Leaders Under 40.

“It was instilled in me early on — hard work pays off,” he said. “I’m not afraid to get into details or do what’s needed to get something done.”

Hall leads a youth group at Fellowship Bible Church in Bentonville and is a board member for The Cancer Challenge, an area nonprofit focused on improving cancer care and treatment. He enjoys playing golf, traveling and fishing with his son.
