Bayer Leverkusen are plotting a move for former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof, according to a report.
Lindelof departed United this summer following the expiry of his contract, bringing an end to an eight-year spell at Old Trafford
The Swede is now a free agent and attracting interest from Erik ten Hag’s Leverkusen, who are finalising the move as per Sky Germany.
The report states that the Bundesliga club value the 31-year-old’s experience and leadership qualities.
Ten Hag knows Lindelof well, having managed him throughout his time in charge at Old Trafford.
Leverkusen lost some leadership and experience this summer following the departure of Jonathan Tah, who joined Bayern Munich as a free agent.

Lindelof would become Leverkusen’s second centre back acquisition after Jarell Quanah’s £35million move from Liverpool.
He arrived at United from Benfica for £30.7m in 2017 and went on to establish himself as a regular over eight seasons at Old Trafford.
The defender played 284 games for the club, winning a League Cup and an FA Cup.
Following his last appearance for United in May, Lindelof told MUTV: ‘Yeah, I am proud of myself. It’s been a lot of ups and downs.
‘But I mean, for me to be able to represent this club for eight years, it’s been an honour and a privilege, and a dream come true.’
