About

Eefo is a series of memes depicting Etho, also known as EthosLab, from the HermitCraft Minecraft server in the general shape of an Among Us or Amogus crewmate. The meme originates from a May 27th, 2024, “Guess the Build” video by HermitCraft player and YouTuber Grian, in which Skizz builds the Eefo model. The Eefo model became a prominent joke in the HermitCraft fandom over the following months, inspiring fan art, memes and builds in Minecraft and other video games. In early August 2025, Eefo became a prevalent drawing on the Wplace website.

Origin

On May 27th, 2024, YouTuber Grian posted a video playing a game of “Guess the Build” with members of HermitCraft. The game involves building something in Minecraft and having players guess what they are.

At the 7:55 timestamp, we see Skizz building a depiction of EthosLab, a HermitCraft member whose avatar is an edit of Kakashi from Naruto with one red eye and a darker color scheme. Skizz’s build resembles Etho in color scheme as simply as possible through an Amogus-style shape. Around the 32:36 timestamp, the players guess what the build is, with Joel and Gem guessing correctly that it’s Etho.

“Eefo” is a nickname used by some HermitCraft fans to refer to EthosLab. The nickname quickly became associated with the Etho Amogus build.

For example, on May 27th, 2025, Redditor u/wixelt posted a piece of fan art to the /r/Hermitcraft subreddit drawing Etho as the Amogus build, garnering over 1,100 upvotes in roughly a year.

The next day, Redditor u/Long-Dock commented, “Eefo :),” garnering over 120 upvotes in the same span of time.
