The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has suspended the license of Xtreme Solutions (Private) Limited for one month over the company’s persistent failure to submit annual audited accounts and pay the required regulatory dues for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
The decision was made under Section 23 of the Pakistan Telecommunication (Reorganization) Act, 1996, following multiple written and electronic notices that the company had ignored.
Xtreme Solutions was awarded a non-exclusive license on November 24, 2010, to operate Data Class Value Added Services under PTA license No. DIR(L)/CVAS-352/PTA/2010. As per the license terms and applicable regulations, the company is legally bound to submit its Annual Audited Accounts (AAAs) and pay the Annual License Fee (ALF) within 120 days of the financial year’s close.
The company failed to fulfill both obligations despite repeated reminders issued through letters and emails between October 2022 and January 2025.
A Show Cause Notice was issued to the company on January 4, 2024, requiring compliance within seven days and an explanation within 30 days. A hearing was subsequently scheduled for May 13, 2024, at PTA headquarters. However, the hearing notice was returned undelivered from the address maintained by the company with the Authority.
The licensee neither responded to the notice nor attended the hearing, and no alternate address was provided as required under PTA regulations.
PTA gave the company a final opportunity on January 27, 2025, to comply by January 31, 2025, but no response was received. Given repeated non-compliance and no communication from the licensee, the PTA panel, comprising officials from its Licensing, Law, Finance, and Enforcement divisions, proceeded ex parte and concluded that Xtreme Solutions had violated regulatory provisions.
As per the enforcement order, the company’s license is now suspended for one month or until it submits the required financial documents and dues, whichever comes earlier. Failing to do so will result in automatic termination of the license without further notice.
Moreover, all LDI, LL, TIP, and mobile licensees have been directed to immediately suspend all telecommunication services extended to Xtreme Solutions until further notice from PTA.
