The 2025 MTV VMAs are officially in motion, and fans can now cast their votes across 19 categories, comprising their favorite K-pop artists, by heading to vote.mtv.com. The voting lines will remain open through September 5 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET. One category, Best New Artist, will keep the race going right up until the live show. Korea’s musicians set to dominate this year’s VMA landscape, for those unversed, include BLACKPINK’s Rosé, her fellow bandmates Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie, as well as BTS’ Jimin and Stray Kids.

While Rosé leads the pack of K-pop nominees with her viral hit ‘APT’ securing eight nominations, further cementing her global status, Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie landed nominations each for their respective tracks, ‘Earthquake’, ‘Born Again,’ and ‘Like Jennie.’ Jimin, meanwhile, earned a nod for ‘Who,’ and Stray Kids brought glory with a nomination for ‘Chk Chk Boom.’ Among the non-K-pop singers, Lady Gaga made quite a splash with 12 nominations, Bruno Mars trailed her with 11 nods, and he was followed by the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Charli XCX, who was rumored to have a feud with Taylor Swift.

As final preparations for the 2025 VMAs get underway, attention rightly shifts to the screen that will bring the spectacle to millions.
