
The Government of Sindh has confirmed that Phase 2 of the Green Line Bus Karachi project will begin in the second week of August 2025. The project includes a 1.8-kilometre extension from Capri Cinema to Municipal Park Saddar, adding three new bus stations and two dedicated traffic signals.
The Green Line BRT will enhance access with this new development, and this will improve access to commercial and residential areas. On the one hand, the overall budget of the project now amounts to PKR 30 billion; this latest extension takes one billion of that amount.
Green Line Bus Karachi Route
The current Green Line Bus route in Karachi runs from Numaish Chowrangi to Surjani Town, covering approximately 21 km with 22 operational stations. The route is part of the Karachi Breeze BRT system, managed by the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL).
Green Line Bus Karachi Ticket Price
A one way ticket will cost you PKR 55. For commuters the Metrobus card can also be used at PKR 100, on which PKR 5 will be charged for every station. Cards can be recharged at ticket vending machines, at stations and through the Breeze App.
Green Line Bus Karachi Timing
The Green Line Bus Karachi timing is fixed from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, operating seven days a week. Buses arrive at intervals of 3–5 minutes during peak hours.
