Rays (-115 at DraftKings) at Angels

The Tampa Bay Rays crushed the Los Angeles Angels 7-3 on Tuesday night, and the two squads will meet in the rubber game of a three-game set this afternoon in Anaheim, Calif.

Right-hander Shane Baz (8-8, 4.79 ERA) has not led through five innings in six consecutive starts for Tampa Bay, but the Rays have also scored one run or fewer in four of those outings.

Angels southpaw Tyler Anderson (2-7, 4.49) has not led through five innings in eight of his past nine home starts, while allowing at least three earned runs in four of his past five trips to the hill.

Also, the Halos have not been ahead through five innings in any of Anderson’s eight daytime starts this season.

Baz has pitched significantly better on the road this season, posting a 2.97 ERA compared to a 6.54 ERA at Steinbrenner Field.

Athletics/Nationals F5 Under 4.5 Runs (+100 at DraftKings)

The Athletics scored five runs in the first inning of Tuesday’s 16-7 blowout of the Washington Nationals.

Lefty Jeffrey Springs (10-7, 4.00), who will take the mound for the A’s tonight, has seen the over cash in the first five innings of his past five starts. Springs has been aided by great run support in that span, with the A’s scoring four runs or more in four of those outings.

In Springs’ past five road starts, however, the Athletics have tallied two runs or fewer in the first five innings four times.

Washington’s offense has scored two runs or fewer in the first five innings in seven consecutive contests, while also scoring two runs or fewer in the first five in seven of the past eight games against left-handed pitchers.

Dustin May Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+125 at DraftKings)

The Boston Red Sox will seek a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night at Fenway Park.

Dustin May (6-7, 4.85 ERA) will make his Boston debut after the Dodgers dealt the right-handed pitcher at the trade deadline.

May’s final start as a Dodger came against his new team, as he struck out five batters in a 4-3 loss to Boston on July 27.

May faces a Royals squad that has struck out five times or more against opposing starting pitchers in five straight games.

However, Kansas City has struck out the second-fewest times in MLB against opposing starters this season, and May compiled only three strikeouts against the Royals as a member of the Dodgers in late June.
