Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s refers to a men’s barber shop located in Forney, Texas, which became the subject of memes on TikTok in 2025, when a promotional photo for the business, originally shared on Instagram, became an exploitable on TikTok. The Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s meme showed a white man’s side profile in a barber chair with the name of the business and its address in a bottom caption. A TikTok account called @thompsonscutzanddesigns largely started the image’s use in memes, which continued heading into August 2025. The image was often used as bait-and-switch media at the end of videos and brainrot edits.
Origin
On April 27th, 2022, Instagram user Keithen Thompson (@kteezy46) posted a photo of a customer at his barbershop, Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s, just after his haircut was finished. The initial photo (shown below) showed the white man’s side profile. The post included multiple images of the same man from different angles. Over three years, the post gained over 110 likes.
It’s unclear when, but at some point after the image was taken, Thompson, or another unknown Instagram user, posted the photo as an Instagram Story and added a text caption with the name of the barbershop and its address: 133 E US HWY 80, Suite B, Forney, TX 75126.
The image was first used in a meme on May 20th, 2025, when TikToker @thompsonscutzanddesigns posted a video, showing a fake Ye tweet, reading, “FUCK THOMPSON’S CUTZ AND DESIGNS,” which transitioned into an edit for the shop. Over three months, the video gained over 9,500 likes (shown below).

On May 29th, 2025, TikToker @thompsonscutzanddesigns posted an edit that ended with the Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s image, gaining over 109,300 likes in three months.
On June 1st, the TikToker posted another edit, showing an AI Video of Twitch streamer Kai Cenat getting incinerated by a rocket, followed by the Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s image. Over two months, the video received over 431,300 likes (shown below).

On July 18th, 2025, TikToker @gabriel_bu3 posted an AI Video based on the Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s image, gaining over 14,400 likes in a month (shown below).

On August 2nd, TikToker @just_chilling2387 posted an edit that combined the Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s meme with others like A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter, Bro’s Got X-Ray Vision for Grippers and Adrian, Explain Our Friend Group. Over three days, the video received over 27,100 likes (shown below).

On August 4th, 2025, X user @AwesomeNintend0 tweeted a meme that inserted the Thompson’s Cutz and Design’s image into an exploitable template showing “Puberty to girl” and “Puberty to boy,” gaining over 4,300 likes in a day (shown below).
