Netflix has officially announced that The Twits, its long-awaited animated adaptation of Roald Dahl’s wickedly beloved tale, will be released on Friday, October 17th, 2025. The streaming giant has kept this project simmering for years, and now, with the lid dramatically lifted, audiences can finally mark their calendars. As part of Netflix’s broader plan to reimagine Dahl’s works, this date represents not only a premiere, but a promise of twisted hilarity to come.
What adventure will The Twits take you on?
In The Twits, Netflix dives headfirst into chaos, filth, and full-blown absurdity. Mr. and Mrs. Twit, a repulsive pair with few redeeming qualities and even fewer grooming habits, run a revolting theme park named Twitlandia. Their cruel hobbies include tormenting animals, one another, and an unlucky monkey family called the Muggle-Wumps. The film traces their ascent to local infamy, propelled by nastiness and glue traps. But their tyrannical reign is challenged when two orphans and magical animals decide enough is enough.
As the uprising gains momentum, chaos and comedy unfold in equal measure. This exact element is captured by the cast which delivers each vile and valiant moment with fitting, ferocious flair.
Meet the voices of The Twits
Netflix has unveiled a colorful and curiously assembled voice cast for The Twits, starting with Margo Martindale as the fearsome Mrs. Twit and Johnny Vegas as the equally unpleasant Mr. Twit. Natalie Portman takes on the role of Mary Muggle-Wump, while Emilia Clarke, recently seen floating about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, lends her voice to Pippa.
