The Xbox Game Pass library is getting several new titles in August, as Microsoft has confirmed the next batch of games for its subscription service. In total, eight games will be added, with one of the highlights being Assassin’s Creed Mirage. A back-to-basics game, Mirage plays like an old-school entry in the series, focusing on the cunning trickster Basim and his journey across the streets of ninth-century Baghdad.
Another great game to check out here is Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector–a dice-driven RPG where you play as a fugitive android–and Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a fun third-person survival-shooter where you have to blast your way through hordes of Xenomorphs. With a new Aliens TV series starting soon, now is a great time to revisit this particular game. As usual, several titles will also be leaving Xbox Game Pass this month, and you only have until August 15 to play these three games before you’ll need to purchase them.
Microsoft typically adds and removes titles for Game Pass in two waves each month, and later this month, Gears of War: Reloaded and Herdling will join the Game Pass library. In case you missed it, last month saw RoboCop: Rogue City, Wheel World, and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers added to Game Pass.
