Government of Sindh has officially extended the deadline of the Sindh Ajrak number plate on motorcycles. Two-wheeler owners have now got time till 31 October 2025 to change old number plates with new Sindh Ajrak number plate.
The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department has given a notification dated 4 August 2025 that the earlier deadline of 14 August 2025 has been extended. The extension provides motorbike owners with an extra chance to adjust themselves to the latest policy of the motorbike registration in Sindh.
The Sindh Ajrak number plate has improved security features as well as cultural design that depicts Ajrak pattern of traditional Sindhis. The government is also deploying these new plates to achieve better identification and vehicles records in the whole province.
As per the official notice, directives have been issued to all concerned authorities like the Director General of Excise and the Motor Registration Wing to implement the new deadline of Sindh Ajrak number plate.
Vehicle owners in Sindh are advised to complete the number plate replacement before the 31 October 2025 deadline to avoid registration issues. The government is expected to intensify enforcement once the grace period ends.
