The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially opened applications for the Government Hajj Scheme 2026. Approved by the federal cabinet on July 31, 2025, the new Hajj policy aims to simplify the application process, ensure digital integration, and facilitate a transparent first-come, first-served selection — with no balloting this year.
Saudi Arabia has allocated a quota of 179,210 pilgrims to Pakistan for Hajj 2026. Out of this, 129,210 seats are reserved for the Government Hajj Scheme, while the remaining will be handled by private Hajj operators. The government has also requested an increase in quota up to 230,000 due to rising demand.
