David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, recently appeared as a panelist at the 2025 Tampa Bay Comic Convention, where he teased what lies ahead for Joyce and Hopper fans. The actor suggested that the drawn-out chemistry between the pair will finally reach its breaking point in season 5, with the duo giving in to their enduring affections for each other. Harbour, who could not stop gushing about co-star Winona Ryder, revealed they filmed several scenes together, one of which he enjoyed filming the most. The bit was enough for the internet to speculate that Harbour’s favorite scene to shoot could be an intimate one, potentially even a bed scene.

David Harbour additionally walked the crowd at the aforementioned event through the process of filming the comprehensive season 5, saying it took the Stranger Things team the entirety of last year to film eight episodes, which is awfully long. He, however, said the efforts will reflect the scale of the offering, which he believes is “five times” the size of Season 4. While the tease from Harbour is enough to send Stranger Things fans reeling, another update from a few days ago is also worth taking note of.

As Stranger Things gears up to bow out with its final season, the cast and creators are preparing to take the supernatural saga on the road.

Stranger Things World Tour confirmed — All we know so far about it

Finn Wolfhard, who made a name for himself as Mike Wheeler on Stranger Things, chatted with BBC’s Craig Charles recently, where he confirmed that there will be a world tour to support the final season of the Netflix series. The ensemble of the show, per him, will hit the road in November, around the same time part one of Stranger Things 5 hits the screen. Wolfhard did not get into the details of the activities planned for their time among the fans; however, the limited tease was enough to send a wave of excitement among those following the Hawkins journey for nearly a decade now.
