Re-worked Assault class
The Assault class is getting a re-work to place greater emphasis on team play and better differentiate it from the Support (medic) class. The Adrenaline Injector, which initially offered a self-healing effect, is being updated to instead clear and boost resistance to flash and stun effects. It will also enhance tolerance to explosive and incendiary damage and improve player-movement speed.
Commanding Presence will replace Enhanced Mobility as the new Signature Trait. This trait speeds up capturing objectives for nearby squad members and takes players out of combat status more quickly.
Even the gadgets are getting updated for the Assault class. The Spawn Beacon was originally from the Recon class, but it’s getting renamed to Deploy Beacon, and it will now be part of the Assault class gadget pool.
“By moving it (Deploy Beacon) to the Assault class, we’re intentionally redefining it as a teamplay tool for frontline flanking and coordinated squad movement,” the developer said.
A completely new gadget is also being introduced. The Assault Ladder is a versatile tool that provides squads with access to previously unreachable areas, functioning as either a ladder or ramp depending on deployment angle.
