Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade visited the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) to give thanks to God after winning the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
She attended the church’s Power Must Change Hands service, where she showed her winner’s medal and awards to the church’s General Overseer, Dr Daniel Olukoya, and his wife. Ajibade said it was her way of thanking God for protecting her during the tournament.
What Rasheedat Ajibade Said
Ajibade told the church,
“Last year, I came here to give my testimony. After that, we qualified for the Olympics. Then in May, while playing for my club, I had a very tough season. I came here for a deliverance service, but I was dealing with pain and injuries.”
Despite the challenges, she played a key role in helping Nigeria win the tournament and was named Most Valuable Player of the competition.
Church Celebrates Ajibade
The church also celebrated her on social media, writing:
“We thank God for the great success of Rasheedat Ajibade, our football star. She was named MVP at the WAFCON tournament in Morocco and led the Super Falcons as captain. This is more than talent – it’s the grace of God.”
They added, “As she shares her testimony, we declare greater victories ahead. May God’s grace lift and guide you in Jesus’ name.”
Ajibade, known for her strong Christian faith, was warmly welcomed by the congregation, who prayed for her and cheered her on.
