Samuel Chukwueze’s time at AC Milan might be coming to an end, as the Nigerian winger is now at the centre of transfer talks involving two Turkish clubs and one English side.
Turkish clubs Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe—both managed by former Manchester United coaches—are now interested in signing Chukwueze, according to HaberHergun.
In England, Premier League side Fulham have started discussions with Chukwueze’s agents. They are hoping to bring him to Craven Cottage.
Fenerbahçe’s manager José Mourinho and Beşiktaş coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær both want to strengthen their teams ahead of the new Turkish league season. Chukwueze, 26, is seen as a good addition, especially as he is not getting much playing time at AC Milan.
Reports say Chukwueze’s agent has already travelled to Istanbul for talks with Beşiktaş, though their first offer is said to be lower than what Milan want. Fenerbahçe are reportedly planning a loan deal with the option to buy later.
Both Turkish clubs have been active in the transfer market. Fenerbahçe have signed players like Jhon Durán, Milan Škriniar and Nélson Semedo, while Beşiktaş have added Tammy Abraham and Orkun Kökçü. Chukwueze is seen as a possible key signing, especially now that his close friend, Victor Osimhen, has joined Galatasaray.
Back in England, Fulham have renewed their interest in Chukwueze after trying to sign him earlier in January. Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says Fulham and AC Milan have resumed talks, but no deal has been reached yet on price or personal terms.
Chukwueze joined AC Milan from Villarreal in 2023 for €21.1 million. He has found it hard to secure a regular starting place, playing just 918 minutes in Serie A last season across 26 matches. He started only nine times, scored three goals, and had two assists.
Although Chukwueze had a strong pre-season and even scored in a 9–0 win over Perth Glory, Milan are said to be open to selling him as they plan to rebuild their squad after missing out on Champions League football.
Chukwueze still has three years left on his Milan contract. A move to Fulham could give him a fresh chance to shine in the Premier League, where he would play alongside fellow Nigerians Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.
