Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is now the highest-paid footballer in Turkish Super Lig history after signing a record deal with Galatasaray.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli and had an incredible year, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists. After weeks of rumours, the Turkish club finally confirmed that they have signed him permanently for a fee of €75 million — the highest ever paid by a club in Turkey.

Osimhen’s Massive Salary Revealed

Galatasaray surprised many by publicly announcing Osimhen’s full salary package on their official X page. According to the club:

  • He will earn €15 million yearly in net salary
  • He will receive a €1 million loyalty bonus every season
  • He will also get €5 million per year for image rights

In total, this means Osimhen will take home €21 million every year after tax — which is around ₦37 billion in Nigerian currency.

This salary makes Osimhen not only the best-paid player in Turkey, but also one of the highest earners in Europe.

What Does That Mean Per Month, Day, and Minute?

Osimhen’s pay is impressive when broken down:

  • €1.75 million per month (around ₦3.1 billion)
  • €57,500 per day (about ₦101 million)
  • €40 per minute (roughly ₦70,000)

That’s more than what many players in Europe’s top five leagues earn.

Big Money, Big Expectations

Galatasaray have made a huge financial commitment, and now fans will be hoping Osimhen can lead the team to more titles. With this level of pay, the Nigerian striker is under the spotlight and expected to deliver more goals and trophies.
