Turkish giants Galatasaray SK have officially confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Italian side Napoli in a deal worth €75 million.
The announcement was made on Thursday, 31st July 2025, via the club’s social media platforms. Galatasaray revealed that a full agreement had been reached with Napoli, with the deal including a clause that gives the Italian club 10% of any profit from a future sale of the player.
“Regarding the transfer of professional footballer Victor James Osimhen, an agreement has been reached with SSCN Napoli SPA,” the club wrote.
Osimhen, 26, has signed a four-year contract which will run from the 2025–2026 season. Under the terms of the agreement, he will earn a net salary of €15 million per season, alongside a loyalty bonus of €1 million and €5 million in image rights.
The former Lille striker arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday evening, 30th July, to a thunderous welcome. Thousands of Galatasaray fans gathered at the airport to celebrate the arrival of their new star signing.
Galatasaray had teased the signing earlier in the week, including livestreaming Osimhen’s flight to Istanbul, which built even more anticipation among fans.
Osimhen’s move brings an end to his time with Napoli, where he became a cult hero after helping the club win the Serie A title in the 2022–2023 season.
