Punjab winter timings in schools may officially take effect from tomorrow, October 20, as the provincial government finalizes the new schedule for the upcoming cold season. The School Education Department has already sent the revised timetable to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for approval.
Under the proposed plan, all schools across the province will open at 8:30 am and close at 2:30 pm once the Punjab winter timings in schools[1] are approved. The adjustment has been made to ensure convenience for students during shorter winter days.
Officials also confirmed that the Saturday holiday will remain in place for both public and private educational institutions.
The new schedule will be implemented immediately after formal approval from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Parents and teachers are advised to keep an eye out for the official notification.
