RedMagic 11 Pro Series Shows How Powerful Gaming Phones Can Be in 2025

Nubia has officially launched the RedMagic 11 Pro and RedMagic 11 Pro+ in China, Nubia’s latest and greatest gaming phones that rival Asus ROG Phone’s latest offerings. As you would expect from gaming phones in 2025, these devices offer aggressive hardware, advanced cooling systems, and a design that clearly says “I’m a gaming phone.”

Design and Display

The RedMagic 11 Pro series features a bold and futuristic looking design with sharp lines and minimal bezels, measuring only 1.25mm thin. Both models come with a 6.85-inch BOE X10 AMOLED display that delivers a 1.5K resolution and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel even integrates an under-display front camera, allowing for an uninterrupted viewing experience and a high 95.3% screen-to-body ratio.

In terms of physical build, both phones are 8.9mm thick and weigh 230 grams. The standard RedMagic 11 Pro is available in Dark Knight and Silver Winged War God finishes. The RedMagic 11 Pro+ comes in three options: a regular Dark Knight variant and two transparent editions called Transparent Silver Wing and Transparent Dark Knight. The transparent models also include customizable LED lighting on the rear panel.

Internals and Software

At the core of both devices is Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chipset, coupled with nubia’s in-house R4 gaming chip. Together, they deliver high frame rates and efficient thermal management under heavy loads. Memory and storage options vary by model, going up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, placing these devices among the most powerful Android smartphones available.

To maintain performance during extended gaming sessions, both models include an inbuilt active cooling fan and a liquid metal VC chamber. The Pro+ variant adds a pulsating water cooling engine for enhanced heat dissipation, a stand out feature among smartphones of any kind, which should help control thermals even further.

The phones run on RedMagic OS 11, which brings gaming-focused optimizations and AI-driven performance features on top of Android.

Camera hardware remains consistent across both models. On the rear, the devices feature a dual-camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The RedMagic 11 Pro packs a humongous 8,000 mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging. In contrast, the RedMagic 11 Pro+ includes a slightly smaller 7,500 mAh battery, but makes up for it with 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, offering more flexibility for users who prioritize speedy top ups and convenience.

In terms of pricing, the RedMagic 11 Pro starts at approximately $700 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version, while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model is priced at $800. The RedMagic 11 Pro+ begins at the same $800 for its 12GB + 256GB variant in the Dark Knight color. The transparent edition with 16GB + 512GB storage is priced at $910. The top-tier transparent Silver Wing version with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage comes in at $1,080.
