Oppo has introduced the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro in China, launching the new series with substantial improvements in battery life, display technology, and camera hardware with specs that can easily take on Xiaomi[1] and Vivo’s new offerings. Both models arrive powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chipset, which promises increased speed and better efficiency compared to previous generations.

Design and Display

The Oppo[2] Find X9 and Find X9 Pro share a design language, with both models offering high durability ratings. The standard Find X9 is equipped with a 6.59-inch OLED display, while the Pro version offers a larger 6.78-inch panel.

Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and are capable of reaching 1,800 nits across the full display, with a peak brightness of 3,600 nits when used in outdoor mode. Oppo offers the Find X9 in four colors: Mist Green, Desert Silver Moon, Qingshan Blue, and Obsidian Black. The Find X9 Pro is available in three finishes: Mist Green, Desert Silver Moon, and Obsidian Black.

The new series also replaces last year’s optical fingerprint reader with an ultrasonic sensor for faster and more secure unlocking. Both devices are rated IP66, IP68, and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

Internals and Software

Inside, both models are powered by the Dimensity 9500 processor, which delivers a 32 percent faster CPU and 33 percent faster GPU performance over the previous generation. Oppo claims a 111 percent boost in NPU speed, supporting AI-driven features across the user experience. The new chip is also more energy-efficient, promising up to 55 percent less power usage for the CPU.

Both phones launch with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and offer deep integration with Google’s Gemini AI, as well as Oppo’s own suite of AI tools for photography, voice recording, and multitasking. ColorOS 16 brings new features such as in-house image demosaicing and denoising, AI Portrait Glow, and the ability to pair natively with an Apple[3] Watch. Oppo promises five years of major OS updates and six years of security patches for the series.

Camera

Oppo has continued its collaboration with Hasselblad for the Find X9 Pro, fitting the phone with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 main sensor paired with a bright f/1.5 lens and optical image stabilization. The Pro also includes a 200-megapixel Hasselblad telephoto camera with pixel-level calibration and a 70mm lens, supporting advanced features like DCG-HDR and up to 10x optical zoom with an optional teleconverter accessory.

Video capabilities include Dolby Vision support at 4K and up to 120 frames per second on the main and telephoto sensors. The standard Find X9 uses the previous Pro model’s 50-megapixel main sensor and includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, along with a multi-spectral True Color sensor.

Battery and Pricing

Both phones see significant battery improvements this generation. The Find X9 features a 7,025mAh battery, while the Find X9 Pro raises the capacity to 7,500mAh. Oppo says the battery health should remain above 80 percent even after five years of use. Charging speeds remain among the fastest available: the Find X9 supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the Pro can charge at 90W with a cable and 50W wirelessly. Reverse wireless charging is supported on both.

Pre-orders for the new series are now live in China. The Find X9 starts at around $620 for the base 12GB/256GB model, and the top configuration with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at around $815. The Find X9 Pro begins at about $745 for 12GB/256GB, with the 16GB/1TB version listed at about $940. Oppo is expected to announce international availability and pricing for the Find X9 series in the near future.
