The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is moving forward with a plan to modernize its property management system through two new initiatives designed to improve transparency and efficiency in urban development.

At a recent meeting chaired by RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza, officials discussed new measures for the transfer of units in RDA-approved multi-storey projects, including condominiums, residential apartments, commercial spaces, and mixed-use developments. The RDA also aims to introduce a QR-coded allotment and transfer system for plots in private housing societies it has approved.

These reforms will bring a digitized mechanism to property transfers, ensuring secure, traceable, and tamper-proof documentation. The new system is intended to greatly reduce the risk of forgery and unauthorized transactions.

Kinza Murtaza emphasized that the changes will streamline procedures, increase transparency, and build public trust in Rawalpindi’s real estate sector. She directed all departments to move quickly on implementing the approved proposals.

Senior RDA officials attended the meeting, including Additional Director General Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Chief Planner Muhammad Tahir Meo, and others. The Director General also commended members of the IT and planning teams for their contributions to the authority’s modernization plans.

With the introduction of these digital systems, RDA is taking a significant step toward more secure property transfers and better governance, aiming to create a transparent, citizen-focused approach to urban development in the Rawalpindi district.
