Pakistan is showcasing its growing digital potential at GITEX 2025, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, which opened today in Dubai.

The Pakistan Pavilion features 26 leading IT companies and 10 startups, highlighting the software exports, artificial intelligence, and new-age technologies.

The pavilion has been organized by TechDestination and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

This year’s participation builds on the success of GITEX 2024, when Pakistan was named the “TechDestination of the Year” and generated business leads worth USD 10.5 million.

In collaboration with TDAP, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has expanded its footprint at the event, offering companies enhanced global exposure and partnership opportunities.

The participation is themed “Think Tech, Think Pakistan,” positioning the country as a strategic gateway for innovation, collaboration, and investment in the global digital economy.

Pakistani exhibitors are receiving enhanced branding visibility, targeted promotional support, and access to curated networking areas such as the Connexons Lounge for business-to-business meetings.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja is leading Pakistan’s delegation at GITEX 2025. She will deliver a keynote address titled “Pakistan’s AI & Connectivity Drive: A Model for Emerging Economies,” outlining Pakistan’s progress in artificial intelligence, digital connectivity, and innovation-driven growth.

The minister is also holding high-level meetings with international counterparts to explore cooperation in AI, cybersecurity, and digital governance.
Her scheduled meetings include the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, the Advisor to Romania’s Ministry of Economy, and representatives from the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.

She will also meet the Secretary of Slovenia’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and witness the signing of an MoU between Pakistan’s National Computer Emergency Response Team (NCERT) and Kaspersky, a global cybersecurity company.

Senior officials accompanying the minister include Faisal Ratyal, CEO of the National Information Technology Board (NITB); Muhammad Abu Bakr, CEO of PSEB; and the DG National CERT.
