For the first time, the National Information Technology Board (NITB), under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, is participating in GITEX 2025 to highlight Pakistan’s digital transformation journey. GITEX is one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, attracting global innovators, tech companies, and governments.
NITB is showcasing several flagship digital platforms that are reshaping governance in Pakistan. Among these, e-Office stands out as a secure and paperless governance system. It has already been deployed across multiple federal ministries and departments to improve efficiency and transparency.
Other major platforms being presented include the Cabinet Portal, PakApp, Government-to-Government (G2G), and Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services. These platforms aim to streamline administrative workflows and enhance citizen service delivery.
One of the key health initiatives featured at the event is One Patient, One ID. This digital health platform focuses on creating a unified patient identification system to improve healthcare accessibility and data management nationwide.
This participation at GITEX reflects years of progress in Pakistan’s digital governance. Over the past few years, the government has prioritized digitization to improve service delivery, cut bureaucratic delays, and boost transparency. Additionally, NITB has played a central role in developing and rolling out secure digital systems for public institutions.
By showcasing these initiatives at a global platform like GITEX 2025, Pakistan aims to attract collaborations, share its digital governance experience, and position itself as a growing player in the global tech ecosystem.
