Rising star Samar Jafri has been named Spotify’s RADAR Pakistan artist for the fourth quarter of 2025, marking a major milestone in his fast-growing music career.
Samar Jafri, known for his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, continues to make waves in Pakistan’s music scene. His hit singles Main Rahun and Guzaarishein have collectively crossed over 23 million streams on Spotify with Main Rahun alone surpassing 14 million plays. This recognition places Jafri among the most-streamed young artists in the country.
Spotify highlighted his global appeal, noting that his audience spans the US, UK, Canada, UAE, and Bangladesh. More than half of his listeners are aged between 18 and 24, reflecting his strong resonance with Gen Z listeners who seek authenticity and emotion in music.
Expressing his gratitude, Jafri said,
“This feels like the beginning of something I’ve been dreaming about for years. It’s surreal.”
He added, “This journey has been all about patience and persistence. Being able to tell my story on this platform is definitely one of the highlights of my year.”
Beyond his music, Jafri is also known for his performances in hit Pakistani dramas like Mayi Ri and Hum Dono, and his praised role in the 2024 film Baligh Afraad. His selection as a Spotify RADAR artist reflects the growing global recognition of Pakistan’s independent music talent a sign that the country’s new generation of artists is reaching far beyond local borders.
