Super Eagles forward Chidera Ejuke has expressed his delight after Akor Adams made his debut for Sevilla in their 0-0 draw against Getafe on Saturday.

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi remains hopeful that Nigeria can still qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite their difficult position in the qualifiers.

Moffi has earned his first call-up to the national team in over a year, returning at a time when the Super Eagles are facing a huge challenge.

Nigeria are currently third in Group C, four points behind Benin and South Africa, who occupy the top two spots. With only two matches remaining, the Super Eagles must win both games convincingly and hope that Benin and South Africa collect no more than one point from their remaining fixtures.

The situation looks very tough, especially as South Africa will host Zimbabwe and Rwanda in their final matches — games they are expected to win.

Despite the odds, Moffi insists the players still believe in a positive outcome.

“We, the guys, are really confident about qualifying for the World Cup,” Moffi told NFF TV.

“We have to do our part and then wait for the results of the other teams. We are confident that things will go our way.”

The OGC Nice forward may not start in the upcoming games, with Victor Osimhen and Tolu Arokodare likely to be coach Eric Chelle’s preferred attacking options.

However, Moffi says he is ready to contribute in any way possible if given the chance, as Nigeria fight to keep their faint World Cup hopes alive.
