Google has launched its AI Pro plan for students, bringing advanced Gemini 2.5 Pro tools to learners across Pakistan and more than 140 countries. This offer brings one year of free access[1] to help students with writing, research, and study preparation using integrated AI features across Google’s ecosystem.
The plan combines Gemini, Google One, and NotebookLM to assist students in completing assignments, summarizing material, and generating study notes. Using Deep Research, Gemini can gather verified information from multiple sources and present it in a concise and cited format. The Guided Learning feature helps explain complex topics step by step, making it easier to understand challenging subjects rather than just providing quick answers.
Google AI Pro also integrates with Gmail, Docs, and Slides, allowing students to get writing suggestions, generate presentations, or summarize content directly within these apps. The plan includes 2TB of Google[2] One cloud storage, which includes both Google Drive and Photos.
In Pakistan, students aged 18 or older can sign up for the free plan. Reddit posts suggest the student plan is available until December 9, 2025, in Pakistan, meaning students have a limited window to claim the benefits. Another user noted that a temporary hold of around Rs. 158 appeared on their account when connecting a payment method, but it was later refunded. Verification is completed through SheerID, and a personal Google account is required.
Google clarified that connecting an account to AI Pro is optional, and no user data will be shared or used to train AI models. The company said it will continue improving the service based on user feedback as more students begin using it globally.
