The Punjab government has launched a dedicated helpline 1071 to help commuters report overcharging, driver misconduct, and other travel-related complaints, in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Transport Vision 2030.
This new initiative, introduced by the Punjab Transport Department, aims to improve public transport services across the province by ensuring accountability and better passenger experience. Officials stated that the helpline is part of a wider plan to modernize Punjab’s transport system, focusing on safer, smarter, and more accessible mobility.
A department spokesperson said,
“The 1071 helpline will serve as a direct communication channel for citizens, helping us address transport issues promptly and ensure transparency in operations.”
