One of the best CPUs for gaming, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D[1], has just hit its lowest price of the year for Prime Big Deal Days[2]. Long considered the best gaming CPU until the arrival of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D[3], the older 7800X3D is hard to pass up at just $338 (was $449). The discount will likely only stick around until Big Deal Days end on October 8–so cash in while you can.

While we’re big fans of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, it’s not the only CPU discounted for Prime Big Deal Days. Both AMD and Intel components are on sale–so be sure to shop around to find the best fit for your gaming setup. However, most will likely find the 7800X3D to be the best fit. If you don’t mind stretching your budget, you can pick up the Intel Core Ultra 9 Unlocked (24-Core, 24 Thread)[5] for $499 (was $599). Keep in mind that it’s not designed for gaming, but folks running intensive video editing applications will find it to be a nice choice.

While the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Processor is quite budget-friendly with this new discount, there are plenty of cheaper options. The AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (6-Core, 12-Thread)[6] is down to $61 (was $159), the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X (12-Core, 24-Thread)[7] is $285 (was $549), and the Intel Core i7-12700K (12-Core, 20 Thread)[8] is $185 (was $510). All three are reasonable choices for gaming, making them worthy alternatives if you’re looking to save a few bucks. You’ll find a list of AMD and intel CPUs discounted in Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event below.
