The Punjab government has announced full scholarships for top-performing students across the province, covering all educational expenses at institutions of their choice. The initiative, approved by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, aims to ensure that talented students continue their higher education without financial barriers.

The announcement was made by Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat during a ceremony organized by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore to honor high achievers of the Matric and Intermediate examinations.

According to Hayat,

“This initiative reflects our government’s firm commitment to rewarding merit and enabling deserving students to pursue their dreams freely.”

At the event, laptops were also distributed among position holders by Rana Sikandar Hayat, Muzammil Mahmood (Task Force Chairman), and other education officials including Higher Education Secretary Ghulam Fareed and Controller Tauseef-ur-Rehman.

Parents and teachers praised the initiative, calling it a “game-changer for the future of bright students.”

The Punjab government’s step comes as part of a broader education reform drive to promote merit, digital access, and academic excellence across the province.
