Atalanta couldn’t carry their Champions League form into Serie A as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Como on Saturday, 4 October 2025.
After a big 2-1 comeback win over Club Brugge during the week, Atalanta were full of confidence. However, they couldn’t repeat that performance against a well-organised Como side.
Lookman Starts but Fails to Shine
Ademola Lookman made his first Serie A start of the season but had a tough evening. The Super Eagles forward missed two good chances and didn’t manage a shot on target. He was taken off in the 73rd minute after a quiet display.
How the Match Unfolded
Atalanta started strong, and Lazar Samardzic scored early in the 6th minute with a calm finish inside the box.
But Como hit back quickly. In the 19th minute, Maximo Perrone fired a powerful shot that hit the post and bounced in to make it 1-1.
Both teams had chances before half-time but couldn’t find another goal.
Second Half Stalemate
In the second half, Atalanta pushed for a winner, but Cesc Fabregas’ Como team defended well and stayed organised.
Lookman continued to struggle and was replaced late in the game. Atalanta couldn’t break through, and the match ended 1-1.

The draw leaves Atalanta in 6th place with 11 points, just one point ahead of Como, who are now 7th in the Serie A table after six games.
